just started today...when i trim my motor up after 10 minutes it leaks down on its own..tightened the screw but dont know anything else to look for ?????

Check the back sides of your rams for indentions letting the fluid possibly slip by.
how would i know if the cylinder itself is bad
Watch for bubbles around the wipers an look for oil leakage. You can also feel around the Rams when they are fully extended.
