Man....looks like a nice place but after checking out their rates I'm afraid those photos are about as close as I'll ever get to that place

Rob the last time I fished there it was $100.00 per day per person. That was over three years ago, God only knows how much it is now..

    Re: Google Earth (Maxpress)

I'm not positive how it is now but has changed. I think their going to membership only, A freind of mine joined this summer while they had a special going for $1500 bucks a year just for fishing and only Lake 14 I think!

Steve, did you pay those outrageous day rates, or is it cheaper to fish out of your own boat, w/o a guide??? On the site it says you can fish from a guide boat, or your own... But I didnt see any rates for just putting your boat in and fishing by yourself..

They're aweful proud of that place!! 300 bux per person and it doesnt include gear bait or tip.. That's about all it costs per person to take a nice deep sea trip, with 4 or 6 people, on a private chartered boat!! Actually, it's not quite that expensive for the deep sea charter!! I bet the list of "testimonials" is 90% of their clientel.. Sounds like a "rich people only" playground..

I have a pretty good connection there. It's artificial only and catch and release, like I said above I think they've gone strickly membership only so I imagine you'd use your own boat! The guy I fished there with has fished all over the country and says thats as good of a place to fish as anywhere he's been (excluding Brazil for Peacock Bass)! The unique thing about Bienville is that you can catch fish on any number of differant patterns just about anytime. The structure there is unbelievable both seen and underwater!

The other thing is there is some HUGE bass in there........ An average day can bring you 4-5 over 6lbs...

They also only allow idle speed....

Depending on the time of year you may go there and it is so weed choked by hydrilla you can hardly move. Unless they have changed the rules you used to be able to get on plane in airport run. Wasn't hardly worth it though it wasn't even a mile long. If you look at the bottom picture you will get an idea of hgow difficult it is to get around there. All the lakes in Pond 14 are connected by very small canal or passages, and each lake is surrounded by high banks, and there are no markers to speak of to help you get around. On a few of the hight banks there are white PVC pipes with numbers on them thats it. It's like a maze.

Normally I'll just fish tournys there at $225.00 a boat which is much cheaper than the other options. I printed the pics using Terraserver in the past and created my own map of the place. A GPS is a great piece of gear to have there.

Yeah Bill, Being a PO BOY too, I will have to just look and think of winning the lotto as the only option for fishing there. Till that time comes, I'll fish for "free"
