    Guntersville October ?

    My friends and I are planning on a trip to the big G in October just wondering what to expect and if later in the month is usually better or not

    Flip the grass or throw a frog....be prepared for some HEAT! its hot hot hot

    We've had some awesome October trips. We usually end up fishing almost 100% topwaters. Either on the outside edges of grass, or frogs if we can find good grass.

    The weather can be chilly. One year it was in the 80's, the next in the 50's!

    October is a GREAT time to go.....really fun fishing then. Topwater, including frogs on the grass mats but also buzz baits, pop r's etc. Also bring soft swim baits to fish through the submerged grass. I go over there at least once per month and I cannot wait till fall. Screw football, lets fish!
