ABA on Pickwick Nov 14th

So how did the ABA tournament go yesterday? Surely somebody was on a bunch of fish.

David Scogin and I fished Guntersville this past Saturday and we really stunk it up. We caught a dozen or so little stripes, a crappie, a catfish, and a drum. Not exactly what I'd call a stellar day.

Did you get your new motor? What did you end up going with? Stay with the Merc or switch to the Yammie?

We finally got the insurance stuff squared away but don't have the boat back yet. Nate at SOS got the motor in last week but, the last I heard, they were still waiting on the wiring harness. Hopefully it won't be much longer!

I really considered switching to a Yamaha and probably would have if there was a dealer near by. Unfortunately, the closest Yamaha dealer is a couple of hours away and the dealer I was actually going with is down in Selma. That's a little further than I want to go if I need to get something done.

The fish really turned off with the cold rain Sat night.

Nick Reeves won it with 4 fish the weighed a little over 8 lbs and Glen Copeland had 2nd with little over 6 lbs.

Next ABA will be on Wilson the end of Feb. Going into hibernation mode(ATV selling season).
