I'm looking at buying a 1974 Johnson, 25 hp, model #25R74M outboard for the boat that I am putting together for the kids. Can someone verify that this is indeed a short shaft?

Here are 2 pictures of a 1974 25hp Johnson SHORT shaft. A Long shaft would have a 5" piece in the middle. The Model number corresponds with a short shaft but in those days the motors could be lengthened after purchase.
