    Black warrior river help

    I'm coming down to fish a benifit tournament on the black warrior river and wanted to see what kinda weights to expect since I've never been there. Thanks for any info

    Which pool? There is Bankhead, Holt, and then several below there. I fish Lock 8 a good bit. I could help you out if that's where you are fishing. Also Danny (fishcraze) might be able to help you out as this is his stomping grounds.

    It has been taking 13 to 17 lbs to win most tournament's.Right now it is mostly night tournament's going on.It has been taking around 14lbs to win most of them.River has lot's of different cover,weeds,logs,rockwalls,shallow flats.If u can find some water with stain to it,you can manage a few good bites.Good luck

    Thanks for the info, I was worried this was gonna be one of those 20+ pound deals . I wanted to come down last weekend but didn't make it so I'm gonna try to be down there thursday and friday. Thanks again

    Launch in the middle of the ramp (everybody does it), it's two wide but not a good ramp. Put in slow and pull out slow.Keep your third eye on the logs.

    I'll second that. The ramp don't look that steep but it falls off pretty quick in the water.
