    Dead Fish

    Question about dead fish.

The rules say "Dead Fish= 1/2lb"

Does this mean 1/2lb per fish or 1/2lb off total weight?

I ask this because Saturday during our tournament on Martin I almost had some floaters and it got me thinking about the penalty.

    Yes to both.

1/2 pound for each fish taken off your total weight. So, if you had five, that would be 2 1/2 pounds deducted from your total.

Now for another part of the question. You should never be allowed to weigh a dead fish for 'Big Fish'.

    Re: Dead fish penalties

Jason's right - it's 1/2 pound per dead fish so that would be a total deduction of 2 1/2 pounds for five dead fish. I'm not so sure about "big fish", though. I thought we had discussed it at one point but I don't see it spelled out on our "Rules and Fees" form.
