Re: Question About Locking Through At Wheeler/Guntersville Dam (Kerry201pro)

Here is a link from the tva web page with info on locking through the dam.

    http://www.tva.gov/river/navig...h.htm

TVA owns the dams and locks of the Tennessee River system, but the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers manages the daily operation of the locks. With just two exceptions all locks of the system are available for use by recreation craft 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, free of charge. (Fort Loudoun Dam is available from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m., and Melton Hill Dam by appointment only by calling the lockmaster at Fort Loudoun Dam.)

For more information, call the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at 615-736-7835 for their brochure on locking guidelines.
