I have a 2001 Triton 205 and my throttle housing came loose because the nuts backed off. I had it in the shop before I put it away for the winter and my mechanic replaced the nuts but now the throttle cable is very tight and kinda hard to accelerate and to back off. Is there an adjustment for this? There are 3 bolts and nuts but there is also a screw. I tried to repair it when it came loose and I remember I tried to tighten that screw. Is that what made throttle cable tight? Thanks
Might be helpful if you tell us the motor and if you have a hotfoot or not.

On some of the control boxes have a tensioner screw to adjust the stiffness of it but I am not sure with yours. You could always ask Mr. Don Weed in the 3L Merc forum as I'm sure he'll know what you'll need to do.
