    Bass Tracker Transom Saver

I have a 2007 Bass Tracker PT TXW with a Mercury 60hp 4-Stroke. I would like to upgrade the transom saver if possible. I have already replaced the V-rubber on it three times.

Has anyone installed an aftermarket unit and added a roller?

Pics would be nice if possible.

    Thanks!

Re: Bass Tracker Transom Saver (sjbelaire)

I don't know if it fits a 60hp Merc, I know mine fits my 75hp Merc, but have you looked into a Lock n Stow

Works better than a transom saver, locks the engine in place and the engine doesn't move at all

Re: Bass Tracker Transom Saver (Musky Tom)

    Thanks for the reply Tom!

I took a look at the unit you are speaking of and it appears it is not available for anything smaller then a 75hp.

I would like to replace the aluminum stud on the tracker trailer and add a roller to use an after market transom saver but cannot find anything that would bolt on....and don't rellay want to weld with wires running through the channel.

I bought one from bps has the tab bolts to trailer and is adjustable the V The engine goes in is hard plastic. I will say it is wearing on the paint some but I don't care the last one flopped around with cheap rubber

I have a buddy who is very highly qualified welder & he has cautioned me to never use one of these, they do not stop the engine from leveraging on the transom , so you will end up with the engine rocking on the tansom with no support to the trailer, they will crack the transom...

I have heard the same also do not use these they don't save the transom. transom saver takes some of the motor weight off the transom on to your trailer. hope that helps

Re: Bass Tracker Transom Saver (sjbelaire)

I use the Swivl-Eze® Shock-EZE™ Transom Saver. 27-36 in size.
Works well and no bungee steering tie down like the stock one.
Motor does not move with this one.

•Spring-loaded, shock-absorbing shaft reduces the damaging effects of road shock
•Ideal for motors with hydraulic trim/tilt
    •Constructed of high-tensile aluminum tubing
•Includes an over-the-roller bracket and trailer mount bracket

It works great for motors with hydraulic trim/tilt and is constructed of high-tensile aluminum tubing. Includes an over-the-roller bracket and trailer mount bracket. Available in 2 adjustable lengths.
