After great debate the 2011 Rally will be held on West Point Lake LeGrange Ga. Apr 8,9,10.

For reservations make sure you speak with Tammy ( 706 882 3437 toll free 1-866 378 7001) she will reserve cabins for us under the Stroker rally. They are giving us a 15 % discount. We are coming in prime season. So I feel that is a decent savings. By the way they consider Sunday thru Thur as standard and Friday and Saturday as weekend rates. So the 15 percent savings for us seems pretty reasonable.

Rooms and cabins for April will are starting to fill up very quick so if you know you are coming I recommend calling now. All their cabins are available now. They have 3 bdrm cabins available now...... that would be a great savings for a group. Tammy felt strongly these reservations for cabins in April are going to start filling up very quickly I just want to emphasize that again.

There is a water side restaurant there on site as well as a combination food, tackle, clothing, store, very nicely done actually and clean.

LeGrange Ga. is only 5 minutes from the resort.

When I was there a month ago I actually had to stop the truck twice at the resort to let deer cross the road. The wife was delighted they were actually close enough that see could clearly see them.

In some ways the resort is similar to J.P. Coleman there is a large point that you can stand or sit on and see for a couple miles either direction on the lake. Now I have no idea how the water patrol folks are going to love us some of the Ga. regulars may chime in on that. The way it's laid out you don't hit the no wake zone until you are almost to the huge floating dock. When I say huge I mean huge. I also think we get boat slips with some of these cabins, especially the larger ones.

All right I hope we have a good turnout this is far more central for several peoples and hope to see some new faces in the crowd, I would like to add I think the wives and kids would really enjoy this resort. I'm sure that several could get together and head to LeGrange and spend any extra money. lol

Lou and I are planning on heading up wednesday evening............but our plan just changed a bit. Is there anyone that may be holding a room for the weekend, 7, 8. and 9 th. and NOT going to make it? I reserved a cabin but it's a bit high on the $$$ scale for our blood. So if anyone is holding a regular working mans room or cabin and is not going to use it, please let us know. And if anyone know of Motel 6 close to the lodge let us know.
