Happy Birthday to the First Lady of Bass Fishing! Mrs. Nina Wood.
Nina’s support of our industry dates back to 1968, when she and Forrest created a legacy out of a run-down filling station in our hometown of Flippin, AR. Since that time she’s changed the lives of so many anglers, employees, dealers, customers, and friends. Her work ethic is contagious and she’s still very active on their ranch today. It’s common to see her pull into our parking lot in her heavy duty pickup just to offer a cold drink to our employees... many of which are longtime friends.
As Vexus™ went from concept to reality, Nina was more than just a supporter. She’s the very foundation that we built this company on. Her philosophy runs deep within the walls of our facility and in the decisions we make. If you get a chance, wish her a happy birthday on this post and we’ll be sure she sees it. She and Forrest will leave today for the Forrest Wood Cup and they’ll be helping us launch a new model this Saturday. After all, there wouldn’t be new models to show without them developing the first one 50 years ago…
Here's a shot of Forrest and Nina celebrating our brand unveiling back in December. At the time, we were doing some work in the tent in the background. On this same spot, today, we enjoy a state-of-the-art 115,000 square foot plant. So good to have them helping us get things started right.
