A lot of guys question us if a Stroker can be a real fishing boat :? I think Blair's "Blackie" certainly looks like one bad arzed one with that Power pole.
Here are some of my recent tweaks that keep the "best of both worlds" in mind that being ( A true tournament boat that doesn't sacrifice top end running.)
1st off wee have my bow RAM mount Lowrance color unit: Pic 1 in down position for running no air drag and covered and protected. Also note the custom BassinRacer bounce buster for the troll motor in our rough North East waters . Pic 2 Trolling motor unlocked and Ram mounted Lowrance ready to be raised for fishing. Pic 3 Lowrance raised and can be adjusted left right whatever on Ram mount for fishing.
Next we have my custom Ram floor mount for my big Lowrance Color unit, note how it's on the floor out of the way, out of the air stream but can be easily be read from my seat or adjusted any way I like. When I'm just having fun and "running" and not fishing the whole thing comes out and the only thing left is the Ram ball mount on the floor ( wires are tucked from underneath console and come out the corner near unit's position "very clean"
Pic 1 View of Lowrance from drivers seat ( Note if your actually sitting in the seat you can see the screen unobstructed looking down to your left ) Pic 2 You can see the back side of the floor mounted Ram unit. Pic 3 Side profile. Pic 4 Actual console has Lowrance color unit in the dash for just running and fun and also note New Merc Digital but analog type sweep tach that reads of the ECU of the motor as well as the New Merc Smart Craft Systems monitor like Trashy has that gives snap shots of the motor's running parameters with recall etc ( even gives top speed, RPM and engine temp or water pressure all at a moment of top speed recall capabilities ( nice tool to use for really dialing the set up in)
