These boats aren't going to run the same setup.....the big numbers from Stroker have come with a 300X and a 370HP Hydro Tec Yamaha. That isn't going to apply on a Allison XB-2002. Might work okay on a Allison XB-21, and i think it has been done, but there wasn't enough testing, trial and error, ect to see what it would really run.

Light Layup Stroker/ 370hp Hammer has been to 118 on one occasion, wondering if it will do it again?

Allison has the bass boat world speed record . Was it 122??

Bullet has been 119 in a 20CC/300 Drag??

    Re: (jowens)

Allison owns the record at 116. I believe Shook hit 122 during the record run. Hitting and holding top speed for a given distance are different animals. Official record runs rarely get optimal water. With a good driver, I don't believe anything will touch an Allison XB2002 with a drag 300.

Jowens, you are correct. They will all run different setups. With a full load, I don't believe anything touches a Stroker. But everyone will argue what they consider a full load, to favor their boat. For me, a full load is 2 big boys with all tackle, 4 batteries, full gas and livewell, with the seats up just like a real tourney. Some will have 2 rods and a plano and call it a full load.

I do believe Strokers are the easiest to drive at speed. Almost everyone with 250+ HP that has wanted to, has busted 100 MPH, or gotten very close.

But the top 3 (Allison, Bullet, Stroker) have something for just about everyone who likes performance boats.

    Re: (John Jackson)

To do a fair comparison it really has to be apples to apples. In that case throw out the xb2002 and the bullet cc Now take a Bullet 20xdc and possibly an Allison xb21 or one the more conventional hulls they made against the stroker.

    Re: (John Jackson)

Well my two cents worth...the XB21 and Stroker are closer for comparison..Ally's beam width 93 inches and 21 ft....Strokers beam width 94 1/2 inches 21 ft...for a fully loaded 21 footer with a 250..it carries a load very well...had a 21xdc o6 Bullet with a 250 on it...never could get the numbers I am getting with the Stroker..never ridden in an ally..hard for me to compare..hull to hull...since Chub doesnt make a shorter boat..we are kind of limited for comparison..I am not a real small person 6' 6" 250....partner weighs 280....20 rods..all of our gear...2/3 tank of gas..and still will run low 90"s loaded...then we have " Nightmare" a bad boy...and Blackie and Tweety and you know.

The XB21 BasSport Pro need not apply to this category...its a hell of a fishing boat but it aint gonna set any speed records.

Re: Which boat is faster (bassknight)

I'm going to take a different path on this as I think this type of discussion is not going to be helpful to the community.

We all love our boats, whatever boat and motor that may be and we all should be very happy that we can run whatever we have. Helping each other run what ever they have to the best it and they can run it to is a more worthwhile objective of this forum than debating a subject that has so many variables and emotions tied up in it that it's just not worth loosing friends over
