Hello i have a 1998 295 pro elite, I was thinking about installing new gas line. My question is how do you get to gas tank to do so. There is a metal plate behind the seats saying the tank is located back there. Do i remove this plate to get access?

I have a 98 201 and I'm sure the access is the same. You have to remove the seats and the metal pan that starts in front of the live wells to the floor. 4 or 5 screws across the back deck and I think 4 across the floor.
I have a '99 201 and I was able to change mine out by removing the metal plate between the seats, the connection was right behind the plate. I couldn't pull the old fuel line out so I just left it and ran the new line. It's worth a shot to look behind the plate.....
