    boat purchase

Okay if you notice my last new topic was that I'm buying another stratos. Originally I was gonna try and get one of the old 22xl magnums. However, now I have access to a little more funds and I think I want to move up a couple years to the 201s. Is that a good decision. Whats the big differences in comfort, fishability, speed, handling etc... I had the old 201 hull once before and loved it if that makes a difference to you. Also, should I also consider a 200 as well as a 201. I like the biggest I can get because I love all the room. Thanks

I also think I want a dual console. Never had one but I'm not driving every time I'm out and sometimes its just freakin cold. Will that console become a nuisance? thanks

I think it would be a great move going to the newer 201's for the simple fact if you need parts, they are easily available. The 22XL was a barge and rode great, but parts are difficult to find and they had the older molded in consoles.

I don't think the 201's dual console will really get in the way. I've had singles and duals. One day it might get in your way. The next day you're glad you have it.

I have had both the older 201 and the newer. Both are great rides. I think the newer ones are a little better riding. Very easy to drive. I have not driven a 200. I understand they are nice but require a little more driver input. Personally, I dont think you will go wrong with any Stratos you choose

I was always a diehard ranger but was sick of getting beat to all the holes an watching the tournament get won........So i purchased my first stratos this spring...I purchased a 06 stratos 201 with 250hpdi......I have mixed feelings about it.....I have had alot of trouble with trolling motor, graphs, trailing wiring an motor........I know alot of this has nothing to do with the boat....It rides great an takes rough water well...I know there trailers really really suckkk

I have owned my 21XL Magnum since 04', and will NEVER sell it! Yes they are big, but the space is awsome and the ride ROCKS! She chews up rough water. And the wife loves the second console!!! When its raining or cold she fits under it on the floor.

I am a fisherman for life! I will always be a fisherman! It's not something I do, it is who I am. Fishing is not an escape, it is where I belong, where I am supposed to be. It is not a place, but a life long journey. It is a passage my father showed me and that I will show others.

Same here minus the wife part. One of the best riding and fishing boats I have ever been in and I plan on keeping mine for several more years.
