I took a break from work today to install a Pro Control pedal tray that a buddy gave me. I was going to put it off until I had a new charger to install & do both projects at once but it seemed like a good thing to take a break for today

Measured centerline & marked it on packing tape

Mark centerline on the template & tape it down. I chose 2" from the bow panel.

Trace around the template, they suggest a grease pencil, I used a sharpie

Cut out & remove the carpet

I drilled 3/4" corner holes to help avoid splitting floor material

I used a circular saw for the main cuts & a small hand saw to finish the corners. I also pulled the bow panel to make sure I had wires out of the way.

This shows the flotation material thickness, cut as deep as you can within reason

After some vacuuming and 8 stainless screws, here it is

I still need to clean up the wiring & mix up some epoxy to seal the edges of the decking but I'll have her out this weekend to try it out.

No bracing was cut so those with similar boats, don't worry about it.
