Anyone put any of the seats from the boatseatstore.com in their javelin?? I am looking at that compact buckets but my seat platform has that 45 degree in the back most part of the seating area.. Please let me know and if you could put up a pic or two. Thanks Jayme

I hope this helps not your boat but its my Renegade 20Sorry for sooo many pics but I had to cut the back loose from the middle seat because the hindge was rubbing the other two seat when I would raise the middle seat and it was gonna rub a hole though them ,so I permanently mounted the middle back part of the seat.

I have two compact buckets on the way, becuase of that same 45 degree thing you were talking about. I'll try to let you know how they fit as soon as I get them. They tell me they are the ones. We'll see.
Fed Ex website says they are on my porch. I'll be heading home shortly to put them in, so I'll report back tomorrow probably with more.
The seats really were here when I got home. I got the gray and red ones. The red looked like a nice red in the pictures on the website, but the name was dark red, so I was a little concerned. No reason to be. The red is a nice red. I took the old ones out and found some nice treasures under them. I'm sure everyone else will, too. The new ones are a little smaller, and appear to be a little less quality than the factory ones. I'm not sure if it is becuase I am so used to almost no padding or what, but the bases seemed a little stiff at first, but that seemed to be going away during the minute I sat in them. Since I don't spend very much time sitting in them and they are half the cost of factory ones, they seen very well worth it. These have grooves in the base just like the factory ones and everything lines up perfectly for mounting. No modifications necessary of any kind to the new seats or boat. I do have to get longer bolts tomorrow, though, since the factory seats were recessed where the bolts go and the new ones aren't. As long as they make me catch more fish, I'm happy with them.
I have the same 1996 Javelin 389TE and need seat replacements. I have the 45 degree angle at the back of seat mounting area due to gas tank under seat. Can someone please tell me a nice looking seat that will work in this situation. Many seats do not give their dimensions. Mine is 16 inches from front edge of seat platform to the edge of the 5 inch 45 degree slope, then 9 inches to back upper deck platform, of course the seat can rise above that. Please help, way to expensive to order ones that won't fit. Thank you for any help.
