2000 Stratos 19SS Extreme info

I'm looking at buying a 2000 19ss extreme with Johnson 175. The owner bought it new and the boat looks brand new still, less than 50 hours on total rig. If anyone can please tell me about this model the pros and cons of it I would appreciate it.

Great boat, I would get thwe Hull id number and call Stratos to make sure not one of the hulls that they had problems with. I have the same boat with a 200 Rude, great ride, handles big water as well as any 19' out there. Fishes great good storage. If hull checks out and price right I would not hesitate.

im posting for cornbread cause his internet is down right now. the boat is immaculant for sure but he is wanting 12,600 i know its a clean boat but i think that is a little high main thing is its got 175 johnson so it is underpowered.

I have a 2001 model, and like it pretty well. I wish mine as a single console so it had more room. But the ride is good. Mine will it 72mph GPS w/ a 200 Rude, but I had to go through 5 props to find the right one for the setup.

I would say the 175 would at least push it to low 60's. If you're content with that, that is all that matters.

I haven't gps'd mine yet, it has a 24 raker, it seems to run fine. The ride is exceptional I'll shave a few mph for a better ride. I just got out of an aluminum boat and its like going from a pinto to a caddy.

What Prop did you end up finding was the best. I am having trouble finding the correct match. I came to the conclusion, I am going with a hydro jack plate. I hope this will fix the hole shot issue and not sacrifice top end.

not sure yet. I am gonna try some different heights this weekend. The hole shot is fine it's just the top end is low.

Depending on setback, set the motor @ 3.75" and hammer down.

It's at 3.5" I need more boat out of the water on the top end. Which way do I need to go to get lift?

Down a bit more with the OMC LU. Prop may need cleaned up if its got rash to.

What do you mean by rash? rough edges on the blades? I'll lower it to 3.75 and try that. The blades do have a lil roughness on the edges. Anything I can do or I have to get it worked in the shop?

Its best to send it off and have the edges cleaned up and the cup checked and put back in if its washed out. You'll be surprised what a difference a good clean true prop can make.
