    Radio Install

Hey guys! I have a 2010 201 EVO and was wanting to install a radio. Has anyone on here done it and do you have any pics to go along with it?

    Thanks in advance.

I did one in my 09 201 Evo. I reloaded the pics so the links work.

I put this one in my boat. The wired remote is the bomb when you mount it inside the rod locker. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...b0663

These pics were my old one, but the new one I like even better.

I bought some Yamaha outdoor speakers for under my consoles too.

How did you run the wires?

    Re: Radio Install (jemyers10lber)

After I got the passenger side hole cut, I used an electrician's wire feeder to run the wires back around the rear of the back storage compartments, across them, and up the drivers side. I mounted a satellite radio antenna on the passenger side that matches the GPS puck mounted on the driver's side just behind the seat. I drilled a hole large enough for the mounting hardware of the Satellite antenna to slide down with a tight fit and pushed it in to secure it (hasn't moved at WOT). I ran that antenna wire back around the same way as the speaker wire. Zippie tied it to the lighting wires. I pulled the switch panel off on the drivers side to gain access (along with the fuse panel you can see removed). I don't have a regular radio antenna anywhere...can't beat satellite radio. I have a module that uses the same Sirius decoder in my truck so I can move it back and forth when I want. Only needed one decoder registered and can use it in either. I got power and ground at the switch panel. Use switched power so you can't drain your battery inadvertently.
