WHat year did they put a stinson hull under the 201 and is it's the fastiest hull that stratos made under the 201 or there is a faster year hull .
Also what kind of numbers is the 201 XLE is putting out with a 250 hp and two person and a load ?
Ihave heard that the 294 is just as fast as the 201 ,dont know thats why i am asking .
Have a buddy planning on getting one or the other , thout i would ask here on the board as i just have a 88 model year ,but he like the ride of minds ?
Not sure about the Stinson question. But I have a 2010 201xle with a 250 etec and I get 79 to 81mph. And no, the as much as the 294 guys wish, they aren't as fast as the 201 boats.
A 201 w/ a 225 runs low 70s, a 294 w a 200 runs the same or a little faster, but a 201 w/ a 250 is mid to high 70s and the 201 XLE w a 250 is like he said, high 70s low 80s. That is what I have witnessed in our club anyway,

Set up right, apples to apples,a 201-250 will run about 3-4 mph faster than a 294-200. I can run with most all 225's and some 250's

Thanks every one for there info. Josh i went to the stratos web site and by that if you got a XLE boat it is the Stinson Hull . Thanks
