Looking to buy a Stratos Fish and Ski

I have been looking to buy a Stratos boat for about a week. I'm looking at a 1998 290 sf right now. The people who own it are the original owners, but have stored it outside, even during the winter. Does this boat have wood stringers? Are there any stratos boats that do not contain any wood? Will this boat be heavy to tow long ways? Its has a 225hp Johnson Venom outboard. I don't have my mind made up yet so please feel free to help me buy the perfect boat.

Re: Looking to buy a Stratos Fish and Ski (jasper302)

I like mine a lot other than it is a couple feet to short.

The fish and skis holeshot are very quick compared to bass boats, the forward seating makes them break over much quicker. Wieght or load does not seem to effect holeshot much

On the topend I give up a good bit in speed, light by myself topend is not effected terribly, but put in a second person and gear and they always sit up fron t not in the back seats and you slow down a bit, been thinking of taking the front passenger seat out to give me more room and force them to sit in the back bench seats...........
