Teleflex R & P Steering Lubrication

I have a '90 201 Pro and it's an effort to steer the boat. When I turn the wheel, doesn't matter which side, I hear that moaning/creaking noise. Searching old posts turned up this method http://www.bbcboards.net...91400 . Is there a better way to do it?

Have you tried the nut with the zerk grease fitting on it? I know BPS use to sell it.
