I have a 2007 STRATOS 176XT powered by a 75hp E-TEC and I have a question. When trailering my boat should I support the motor with the factory trailering bracket or a "transom saver"?

This issue has been debated many times here. It comes down to which method you want to use. I used to be a transom saver guy, never had any problems. Now I'm a trailer bracket guy, haven't had any problems. The Etec manual probably says to use the trailer bracket. That's what I would go with.

On that boat, I'd use the bracket, but that's just me. . . .![]()
