I WAS TOLD THIS WEEKEND THAT BEGINNING IN 2009, STRATOS WILL NO LONGER BE MAKING THE 201 OR 200 HULL. THE LARGEST BOAT THEY WILL BE MANUFACTURING WILL BE THE 294. IS THERE ANY TRUTH TO THIS ???? HE SAID THAT RANGER WOULD BE THE ONLY BIG TOURNAMENT RIG AVAILABLE. I AM NOT TRYING TO GET ANYTHING STARTED HERE, IT MAY BE ALL BULL !!!!!!!!

My source was a Triton Dealer. He said there was some upper-management that got whacked and those 2 hulls were in direct competition with Ranger, therefore they were not going to be producing them any longer. I am glad to hear that he is full of it !!!!

Even though Genmar is pushing the Rangers for the tourney fisherman, they would take a huge hit in sales if those 2 hulls were phased out.

I thought stratos was going to have a 201 anniversary boat in 2009. They would not comment on such a boat at the classic.
200 and 201 are not going anywhere. Who knows. They may even introduce another boat in '09. Sounds like a concerned Triton dealer.
And, since Genmar owns Champion too, are they going to eliminate all the 200 and 210 Champion boats that compete against the Rangers?
