what years did they put in the seat post hole in the stratos 201 boats? is this an option on newer boats. I dont competative fish but I like my 3rd seat post in my old stratos that i have now so that i can fish 3 without any problems. I will upgrade to a newer boat sooner or later and just wondering what the options are on the newer boats. Thanks
Don't know what year boat you have. I have a 1996 201 and it has the seat post hole in the middle of the boat.

yours is newer than mine. mine is an 89 but i really like the boat layout better than some of the new ones. Any idea when they stopped putting it in?
Could you buy the post flush mount and put one in yourself?? I have seen these plates with the hole for the pole at places like bass pro shops.. Does anyone think this is possible if so maybe I will put a third seat in my javelin. Because I also sometimes fish three people..

I have seen them also, I just wasnt sure how sturdy they would be compared to the factory ones. Personally, i do alot of crappie fishing and catfishing out of my boat so I really like the extra seat. When I am ready to get a newer boat, it also have to be able to fish 3.
If you order a boat they will probably put it in there for you. I had one put in my '94 389 so you could have that 3rd seat. Comes in handy sometimes.
