    Stratos boat trailer question

Still waiting on my 07 boat from Jet a marina, but was noticing that the new trailers don't have any side roller guide ons at the back of the trailer. My last boat had angle rollers. Do any of you have a problem with the boat riding or hitting the wheel wells when launching or pulling your boat out?? I can see the boat drifting a little to the side when launching in the river here with current at the launch. Thanks, Jeff

No prob. If you glide up on the trailer, it will settle on the bunks. I have dual axle trailer. Generally, if I keep the the top edge of the fender out of the water, its set about right. You'll have to learn the best way for your use but you'll be fine w/o the trailer guides. I've never had a problem, except in very, very strong cross wind which would be a problem for trailering for just about anyone.

I launch and retireve in the rivers here all the time with current and wind. Haven't had a single problem yet. Like Duanne said, when you glide the boat on it settles right down and straight on the bunkers. Even if you're aim is a little off it will settle and center itself.

I still like the old style trailers with the spring arm/roller. the steep ramps around here make it hard with the long flat new ones like with big boats.

You just need to stay shallower with the trailer until you get it settled on the bunks, then have the trailer backed under with you powering on and it will go right on the roller...If you go in too deep, it will try to go under the roller on the steep ramps......
