Extra storage '06 200 proxl. Look what I done

Folks, I have asked along with others about having some portable/removable storage trays in the battery compartment box.
Look here what my WIFE found, $2.39 each @ Walmart. Perfect fit.

great for my ropes, few tools, pint of spare oil, etc.

I drilled a 1/4" hole in each bottom corner of tray for water drain and Tah Dah
They will slide back and forth allowing you to get to any battery, life is great.

Seems to be of pretty good plastic, should last several years. I bought 2 more and put them up in the closet just in case they quit making them.

I've been trying for a while to find some kind of basket to fit just like that. Thanks man I think those measurements will work just fine on my 95 too.

Excellent idea!! There's always stuff you want to carry but don't want in any of your normal storage boxes. Your wife has a great eye!!

    What an awsome find!!!

You can buy 8 1/2 x11 sheets of sticky back felt at a craft store to line the area that rest on the fiberglass...to prevent the scratches that are inevitable!!

Mine was a very tight fit. My rig has molding on the inside of all openings, so the basket had to be forced in there.

Your right, it won't work if you have the net storage...I took my net storage out...I never used it and it was just taking up space...

Great find! I was asking about those a while back.

I'll keep searching for something locally - the nearest Walmart is about 7,500 miles away!

    Steve,

My daughter saw the same trays in the Dollar store. Just a few cents higher.

They were a tight fit in mine, I filed off the 2 little "knots' at top on each side to make a better fit. They are perfect

that's the first thing I thought too. I've been looking for something a little smaller for my rod locker with little luck.
