Intruder problem here

This long, but I will try to explain. My 1996 Intruder model # E150GLEDB, ser. # G0396B413. two tourm. ago started to act up. After going to first spot fine and fishing 2 hours,started right up turned up lake and second I put throttle down it shut right off so fast I throught I pulled kill switch. Fish all day , would not start but spins fast as all get out, have gas at engine but seems no spark. Drive home charge battery for 10 minutes, fires right up. Installed new battery. Next tourn. does excat same thing. Reach under dash sake wiring harness, starts right back up and runs fine all day. Dealer cant find thig wrong runs up and down lake throttle lever forward back up downfast slow nothing Replace complte wiring harness, kill switch, and wire for kill switch. Go fishing trip to Va. runs fine first day and half,then go to start out for next spot this time spins like hell but no fire at all. Last thing it was running strong, but seems like it had a small fluttering or floating , never a real miss at full speed, like tac. needle never even waver. Power pack maybe? I know this was a long post. I just have no glue, and its getting real expense THANKS MUCH guys

It sounds like a power pack problem to me if I am reading it correctly, the problem does not show itself when the engine is cold but after you have run fo a while. The best check is to put a timing light on each plug wire and check for spark when the problem occurs. The power pack can be difficult to troubleshoot when the problem is intermittent.
