    Should Motor be Straight...???

How would this affect performance if your motor is not mounted straight on transome..??? How would you measure to verify motor is straight.??

Depending on the severity, it could be as little as not noticeable or as much as ill handling at high speeds.

Measuring it should be as simple as measureing the differnence between the top of where the motor is mounted (jack plate or motor bracket) to the top of the transom on each side. You could also measure from the top of the transom down to a bolt hole that goes through the transom on each side and see if the measurements equal.

I absolutely hate it when that happens.

In this case, no that is not the problem.
