Power Pole on a 201

My mechanic just called and said he is done installing a 8 foot power pole on my 201 pro duo. For those who do not know what I am talking about, It is a hydraulic anchor that works by a switch and remote control. It will anchor the boat in water up to 8 feet deep. It is really useful in windy conditions and you want to stop for a second and hit a spot. Throwing the achor is a pain in the a**. It is also great for inshore saltwater fishing when you are dealing with currents. For those of you up north where it is deeper this probably wont help as much, but in Florida it is the perfect fishing weapon.

I dont know yet. I will see the bill tomorrow. There is a 6 footer and an 8 footer The 8 with remote, switch, and installation is probably around 1750. The remote is almost 300 though. I think the 6 is pointless, but it would save you a few hundred.

How high off the back of the boat does that thing stick up?? Is it higher than the motor??

I kicked around the idea of a power pole a few times but the price was too much. If you do a search a few threads have been written here on these. I seen alot of guys practicing for the FLW event here in Ny last june and was really surprised at the number of big names who had these on there boats. I've had alot of breezy days though that one of these would have been great! was suprised also a dealer nearby up here was a factory installer...
Would be a great deal if you needed it and could afford it...
