    Boarding Ladder

I have a 285 and need some kind of ladder to get the wife and kids back in after a swim. Has anyone found a nice ladder they have installed that "looks good" mounted. I have seen a few that would work but I'm not drilling holes in my boat to mount one of the ones I have seen. I want it to be out of the way, small but works and looks like it should be on the boat. Anybody had the same problem. Right now they climb up the cav plate and it's just a matter of time till someone slices a foot open so I need a ladder. They are getting too big for me to pull back in like I have always done, wife hasn't gotten any bigger of course.

You may want to consider one that you hang over the rail or side.

    Like this one: http://www.basspro.com/servlet...sults

I mounted one of the screw on models on my old Skeeter boat and everytime I would come off plane it would throw a rooster tail of water into the boat. Not bad in the summer, but cold in the winter.

This is the one that I used to have:

    Re: Boarding Ladder (ernel)

I have one on the the back of my FS and I beleive it came with the boat. You may want to call C & O Marine and see if they have any from a FS that would fit. If you don't want to drill holes then you will need the over the side deal.

    Re: Boarding Ladder (MNJAVELIN)

We use the Champion ladder on almost everything.......they're 275 but fit neatly beside the engine and can only be seen from the rear.

The standard ladders that screw to the back deck are very obtrusive.....but work well. The standard cover won't fit with the over the back ladder but will with the Champion ladder.

I would like to have a ladder similar to the pull out deal that Triton has.

I forgot about the boat cover still fitting. I don't mind drilling holes as long as the install is worthy of drilling holes. I saw a Garelick ladder that looked nice but don't know anyone that has seen one. Take a look:

Wouldn't you need to drill all the way through the transom for this to work? What do you think?? It is definately small and can be removed.

You should let C&O handle this for you. It will be done right and will work very well.

I have the one Todd, at C&O, is talking about. It is very unobtrusive and does not affect the cover in any way. I'm pretty sure you'd like it just fine..
