Winch post seems to be to high.

I have a 2001 Javelin Renegade 18 and everytime I put the boat on the trailer I have to really watch out for the trolling motoring. It has bumped the bow roller before. I don't know if I need a new winch stand or if the one I have can be adjusted. Maybe the boat ramp where I unload and load is too steep. Does anyone have any answers?

If you put your trailer in too deep, especially on a steeper ramp, that will happen. Try pulling her out a few more inches. That might sound backward to you (it did to me), but trust me, it works. The one time I did it wrong, it's a good thing someone who knew better, was standing there and stopped me. I could have ripped the TM off the boat!!

Also try trimming your motor up. This will raise the front of your boat when loading it on the trailer. My fishing partner had the same problem until I realized he wasn,t trmming up his motor when loading.
