    My new 200XL...

My 200XL is about a month old now. made the pilgramage to C and O in TN. 225 HO etec. just got done fishing 10 days outta 12 in the openers here in NY. Boat is just flat amazing! the ETEC is like no other outboard out there. here is my loaded speed... 75.5 running back to the weigh last week into a stiff breeze!!(5400 RPM's)
How fast will it go... haven't opened it up by myself yet. Chine walk can get a little bad. raising the motor slowly to get rid of it. If I can get out the next few days I'll let you know.
Note: always said get Hydrauilc jackplate on my next boat but didn't with this one. this was a mistake. had big water in plattsburgh this last sat and paid the price with the prop blowing out alot hogging through the waves. motor too high for this water condition. next time I'll slam the motor down and I will buy a Hydr. jack first chance I can. Todd, eyes were bugging when I showed up last week...

If you're running 75 and some change with full load, you're doing well. I run anywhere between 74 and 76 with a full load and two guys. My all time max speed has been 78.9 and that was with the setup that the shop did when I took delivery. I've made no adjustments in the JP. I guess I've not noticed the chine walk so much but it does require some driver input.

With the right setup, their is almost no chinewalk. I could run mine by myself or with a partner wide open and not have much input at all. It was an excellent boat and the E-TEC is an amazing motor that is perfect for the 200 Pro.
