    Zercom flasher in 2001 Javelin

I ahve a 2001 Zercom flasher and while on the water this morning it started acting funny. First run I press the suppression button and it works fine. The second run is when it went crazy. I turned my power on and turned on the flasher and the sensitivity started counting down to zero almost like the button to lower the sensitivity was stuck. I can hold the button to raise sensitivity and it will go up but as soon as I let off that button it starts counting back down again. Any suggestions? Thanks for any advice in advance.

I have the same exact flasher as you do. I had a similar problem with mine but I was able to fix it. My power button was stuck in the on position so I just went under the dash and cut the wire and put a toggle switch on the hot wire so I could cut the power off before it gets to the unit. I know that wont help your problem. My button only sticks in warm weather never happens in the cold I am not a real big fan of push button controls any more. Some boat manufactures have a push button starter button. How would you like for one of those to stick

They will probably have you send it in and you will have to pay a flat fee of $75-$85 to have it refurbished. Comes back looking like brand new. Mine had problems and thats what I had to do.
