Skeeter 20I livewell drain valve leaks???

My starboard side livewell drain valve leaks and lets water into the livewell even when it is closed. And also allows water to drain out when on plane. Where is the valve located and how do I replace it??? I see a valve on the bottom rear of the livewell but the cable that opens and closes the valve doesn't seem to be connected to it.

    Thanks, John.

at the console open close valve switches, unscrew the round valve cover, the ones by the throttle, the plastic connector to the cable may be broken, mine broke twice, use a metal washer or fab up a bracket to rerplace the cheap plastic one if its broke, if thats not it it may be further down the line.

The wire and lever are fine, it opens all the way and closes about 90%. I am pretty sure it is the valve.

Have you tested this by taking the boat out of the water and onto the trailer with valves closed and full livewells, and then looked for leaking water? The reason I ask is because I am always surprised at the amount of water that will leak from the overflow holes while running. Maybe that is where you are losing water?

Yes, I have checked that and the only water is draining out of the valve.
