Looking at 2 different boats both are zx 200s. 1 is a 07 other is a 08 Is 1 hull model better than the other or are they the same hull. Specificly ride-speed-handeling ect. And is there a big difference in tm 101 or 82 lbs how much is needed on 19ft boat comming out of 17ft aluminum w/82 lbs. Heard my be dash problems just trying to know what im getting into. Thank for help and recommendations.
I believe that the hulls are the same. Also I think sometime mid 07 model year they changed the consoles. 80 vs 100# tm? I have the smaller & have'nt had any problems. Same story with the dash-no problems yet.

I too, have an 08 and have the 80# tm. I've fished on some of the bays on Kentucky lake with the wind gusting to 35 mph and have been able to hold on my spot. I'm satisfied with the 80#. No problems with the dash here, either.
Here's my two cents. You got a 82 on a 17 foot aluminum boat so your used to a lot of power. Iwould say your 82 is a lot like my 101 on my zx200.
I have fished some pretty rough days on Ky Lake and the 82lb trolling motor performed flawlessly. I did have to replace my push button dash within the first year since the livewell buttons stopped working. No problems since.
