    Blown 115

Good evening everyone. Well its finally time for me to ask for help. This weekend was a bad tournament weekend for me. I blew the rings apart on 1 cylinder on my rude 115 year 1980 model E115TLCSA sn J0003227 Motor during pre-fish. After pulling the motor apart 3 pistons and all 4 cylinder walls had some damage. With the cylinder and piston with the blown rings being the worst. The question I have is are there after market cylinder sleeves on the market? I have found a site where I can get pistons, rings, piston bearings and rod end cap bearings for over $800 not shipped. If I can't get sleeves does anybody know where I might get a cylinder case and what that might cost me? Also does anyone know what the bore dimensions are on the std. cylinder so I might be able to tell if this motor was ever bored over? Thanks for help. Pete

Pete, The std. bore on your 115 is 3.500." You can bore up to .060 over if needed. Piston kits with rings, clips, & wrist pin are in the 60.00-75.00 range. Sleeves are in the 30.00-50.00 range. An average price on a used block should be in the 100.00-300.00 range, depending on quality, bore size, cleanliness,e.t.c. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the help. I haven't found any place that has sleeves for it.

    Pete,
There is a parts supplier in FLA that sells sleeves for your motor but I can't remember the name of the company. They are online though.
