I would personally choose a 20i over the FX series...20i will most likely be my next boat..

Hey skeetzx225,
what is the benefit of the 20i over the fx?
Ride, speed, fishability or just fit and finish?
Thanks
Muz
The guys I know who have driven all 3 say the FX series is far and away the best handling boat they have ever run. Remember, it was developed specifically for the SHO engine and has a different hull design from the others.
i want a 2007 sx200 with a 2008hpdi if i had my choice![]()
ive had a zx and an i class, and rode in a fx, the fx is faster than my 21 i but i think that my i class rides way better, but thats me, the zx are nice to, but as long as its a skeeter you will like it
I've had all 3 and I'm running the FX20 now. For me, the FX20 is the best boat I've ever owned. It is fast, handles like a much smaller boat, rides great, and it fishes great. It does everything well.
I'd go FX without even thinking about it.
If you fish big water stick with the I Series
Any Skeeter is a good choice. However the prices vary quite a bit. As mentioned above the FX is the new flagship for Skeeter. It has all the bling that Skeeter can have in there standard features column. The I class has been dumbed down (sort of speak) in the features column. I am not sure of all the features that it does not have standard compared to FX but the most notable is the dash (touchpad vs. DMS in FX and rocker switches in the ZX). I personally feel that if money wasn't a factor I would purchase the FX hands down. The hull is matched perfectly to the SHO motor and has all the standard features you could possible want. I haven't rode in the FX but have to think that is a very similiar ride to the Iclass except a little faster. Its probably going to get a bit better gas mileage as well since the hull is matched to motor for all around efficiency purposes. WORST CASE scenario is you get all the best standard features and ride is in between the ZX and the IClass and the ZX is no slouch when it comes to ride and the IClass is a great ride. I personally wouldn't have an issue purchasing the FX and I own a 20i. Also, from a resale perspective the FX may become more attractive to a potential buyer in upcoming years? But really its about what Skeeter fits your budget.![]()

If money wasn't an issue, I would have a 20i with a 250 SHO, fully loaded with Humminbird electronics, dual power poles, etc.....![]()
It's a little heavier feeling boat, more stable...plus I like the look of it better than the FX...the fit & finish is good on all Skeeter models, I just know it would take a lot less $$ to get into a good used 20i versus a FX...but the SHO motor on the FX rocks...
that said, if money wasn't an issue, I'd be in a FX
