need help for a purchase Johnson 175

I am in need of a 175 hp engine I have found a 1993 Johson 175 faststrike silver annversay with all control and runs good for 2500.00 I dont have the serial number with me while writting this but the numbers check out to all be right. My question to everyone is this a good purchase this is just for the engine not for mounting or any thing else, motor and controls. Should I go ahead a purchase or not. I like the Johnson so that is not my question Just whether for the price if I should purchase. Thanks yall always seem to guide me in the right direction. Brian

Thats what I have. If I were looking for a motor and I knew it was in good shape then that seems like a good price. I would pay that for one.
