questions for 21i owners

Been seriously considering a 20i. In my inquieries some have said how the 21i can fish shallower and it runs better in rough stuff(which I can understand)
Does the additional 8"of length make it that much better than the 20i?How well does it maneuver while fishing? Is it a stable platform?
For some reason I've always been of the mindset that a 21' is just too much boat for me/this area.I'm in the northeast and aside from Erie and the Finger Lakes which I don't fish there isn't a lot of big water.The Potomac can be rough and I plan to fish there.
I hate to get the 20i and wished I had gotten the 21i or vice-versa

I've had both, If budget and garage space are an issue go with the 20i, Othewise I personally like the 21i better, and from what I've seen price wise if your going used the 21i can be had for about same price as a comprable 20i, Speed wise my 20i was a couple miles per hour faster, but I feel the 21i rides and handles better IMHO, Both great boats! Can't go wrong eitherway!

I have a 2009 20i and my dad has an 2008 21i. They both ride about the same(though I haven't been in real rough stuff with his boat) My boat is about 4 mph faster with a 250. I personally don't notice much of a difference other than his boat has more room around the consoles and his outside rear storage compartments are deeper. From the consoles forward they are the same boat and the 8" are in the console/driver/passenger seat area. The 2008 and older consoles actually block the wind, but my 2009 consoles don't seem to protect you much from the wind.

i test drove both on kentucky lake when it was less than desirable i truely didnt think there would be much differnce between the 2 but i test drove the 20i first and no way was i buying it. test drove the 21i and my god it made a differnce and as far as speed my 21i runs the same speeds if not better than most other i boats i come across. my 21i with a tournament load runs 73 and solo 75-76 and i have the minn kota 101 so i have 4 batteries with me im definatly not light but i have owned other hpdi 250's and i know this one is the strongest one ive owned so far
