Make sure your flowrite valves are in the closed position. They may need rebuilt after 10 years.

You can rebuilt valves, or buy a 3/4 drain plug. I have the rebuilt kit on hand, but the drain plug was easier.![]()

I've had a broken cable for 2 years, I put 3/4 inch plugs in because I don't want to pull out everything in the back to replace it.![]()

Are these the ones you are talking about?

Mine leak also on my 2000 ZX202c...one is worse than the other. Do you get the rebuild kits from a local dealer? My livewell drains have screens over them and I hate to pull them off; I would reather rebuild my valves.
Thanks.

You can buy the valves or repair kits directly from Flow-Rite as well as many other parts.![]()

Your dealer should have them. Our local dealership has them on the shelf, or you can buy an entire replacement valve too.
One of mine valves went bad on my 1999 ZX202c.....I am going to just replace both valves and the pumps while I have everything out.
I've had about six zx 225's over the years. every single one of did the same thing.
you can use an empty Winchester AA or Super X hull to plug any hole in the livewell or in the coolers. Be sure to use the thicker walled, smooth hulls, if you try it. I always loose those drain plugs, but I've got hundreds of empty hulls laying around.
does the plug go in the bottom of the live well??

Or on the outside???
This is my main complaint (leaking compartment under driver's seat being second) with my boat...the valves were replaced and started leaking shortly after. Going to plug the outside drains and see what happens....![]()
The shotgun hull will plug both the drain inside the livewell, or you can stick them in the holes underneath the boat. Same size fitting.
