    HDS 8 Gen 1 connection to XI5

    hello! this is my first thread and was wondering if I'm able to connect my old Lowrance HDS 8 gen 1 fishing finder to a Motorguide XI5. I plan on purchasing the XI5 soon and don't have the funds to upgrade my Lowrance unit. I was hoping to link the two for the elimination of the transducer so the transducer wire won't get tangled. Thanks for the help
