im in a heck of a mess. i have a 1991 johnson gt200 j200stleid-ser#g-02953294. the exhaust has been drilled out and it has a housing from bobs machine on it. the motor was done this way when i got it. it runs good at high speed and at idle. its kind of a pain to start. it runs really bad at mid throttle. i have had it since jan. and i fish quit a bit and it doesn't give any major problems but i wanted to see if i could make it run a little better. so i thought i would just plug the holes up in the exhaust. i checked the jet sizes on the idle and the intermediate. the idle is a#25 the intermediate is a #38 im not sure what the high speed is. im not a boat mechanic by no means, but should there be that big of a difference if those two sizes. i need some advise. speed is not as important to me as a good running boat. i would like to either set it up right or put it back stock if possible. but i don't know what the correct jet sizes are for a stock engine either. so if anyone can give some advise it would be greatly appreciated. thanks.
