    Swim Ladder on your Skeeter?

    Hey guys,

I was able to convince the wife to get a 95 Skeeter ZX190 instead of a fish and ski with a promise to get a swim ladder so she can get in the boat easy when we swim around.

Do any of you guys have one that you had installed if so I would love to see a pic!

    Thanks,

    Mike

we're still working on a conventional boarding ladder, but you can get a ski pole anywhere basically, and I'm pretty certain this is what his friend had on his boat. The only thing I don't like about it is I'm pretty sure you have to drill holes through your top cap to install the support poles.

The bad part about a ladder over the sponsons is your cover won't fit. At least mine won't.

Yep...that is a downfall, you'd have to take your cover to an upholstery shop so they can cut, sew & velcro to make it fit. I'm really hoping to find one that is removable, or make it removable

I know this thread is old, but did anybody ever find a good skeeter ladder? I have a 98 zx 210. Would love to find a good ladder. Thanks, Scott

With as many boarding ladders out there on the market, why is it so dadgum hard to find the appropriate one for specific boats. More specifically, this search is endless on older boats. I've had as much trouble as you guys. First started out as a challenge, now turned into, "The H_ _ with it." Dealers can't get it right, can't find the right one, you think (judging by the pics and measurements) that one or this one will work; it's pure frustration.

Okie, I just received a ladder from Skeeter (through 154 Marine in Missouri) that will actually fit my '99 ZX185. Go to the thread I started on this forum titled "I still cannot find a boarding ladder". I am going to install it on my boat tomorrow (hopefully) and will post pics of the ladder and the results of the install. This ladder's mounting caps use a single pin to connect to the ladder itself, so I am going to try to find some spring-loaded ball-type t-handle pins to fit them so I can easily remove the ladder. That way, I won't have to have my custom boat cover altered.

I have seen those; would have to modify d/t my sponson shape. Maybe after your pic, I can be convinced it'll work for me.

I'm not familiar with your boat, but if all else fails I was thinking something like this might work on mine. Not sure if it would for you, but it's close to the low profile ladder we have been searching for in the other swim/boarding ladder post: http://www.bbcboards.net/skeeter-boa...-ladder-2.html

Thanks for the suggestion Bug, but I have an E-Ladder (pretty much the same thing) on my boat now. We are trying to find a more conventional, family friendly swim & boarding ladder. I appreciate the suggestions just the same.

No, that one's an aftermarket ladder on ebay, but it says it's sold. I'd think they can get more, and they are much cheaper than the Skeeter ladder. Those run 300+ the ebay ladder was only 80 bucks

Twohands, I'm going to try to mount my ladder tomorrow. I've already held it in place and only the upper right leg will need to be bent closer to the boat by only about an inch. I'll post pics of the results. This ladder (Skeeter Part# 91140482) should fit your boat, too.
