    slidemaster jackplate adjustment

    Guys , I was told to raise my jackplate to get a little better performance from my 175 hpdi as she ll only run about 63 mph.So my question is how do you adjust the jackplate to move it up or down....THANKS

    you loosen the bolts on the side, (they go horizontal) then turn the one that looks like a threaded rod (runs vertical) to the right to raise, left to lower. should be in the center of the jackplate. might be a good idea to spray them with some PB or WD-40 a day before you do it. sometimes they get oxidized, and I've read where guys have broken the adjuster, and you don't want that!
    I have never done it, but in looking at mine, it would seem that is how it's done. I'm sure someone who actually has done it might chime in to confirm

    Watch you don't strip the side bolts. Measure each side. It tends to raise or lower uneven sometimes. If it is uneven grab the lower unit and give it a tug to the side
