20i - Rub Rail and Tackle Storage

Since the last time I have posted I have moved from an '04 SX180 to an '08 20i, and am loving the new boat! I am hoping someone can point me in the right direction for a couple of items I need to take care of...

I need to remove the rubrail and tighten the screws down, I can tell that one or two have worked out a little. Is it hard removing / replacing the rubrail, and is there a special type of caulking that I should use when tightening the screws back?

Also the boat did not come with the tackle tray dividers for the front storage compartment, any idea as to where I can get them? Or has anyone made their own, if so I'd like to hear your ideas!

    Thanks guys!

Dividers for the front box are optional. You could probably order them from a dealer.

The rub rail is 2 pieces. You should be able to pop the middle piece out to access the screws.

I took my tackle tray dividers out following the advice of someone who makes his living while fishing! It gave me more options for storage and the flexibility to put in different box configurations.
There was a post here on the BBC not long ago, of a persone who stated that they go to Wal-Mart (or like store) and purchase book/folder dividers that you place on a desk. It even mentioned what size of box fit them the best. Search around, you might find the post. Seemed like a good, cheap, alternative. Good Luck.

The book divider idea is a good one, I'll have to go and check that out! I just wanted something to keep them fixed in place, the way they are now if you don't have them packed in there tight they crash and bang all over the place when it gets a little rough.

As for the rub rail, I am sure it isn't a big chore, thanks for the tips.

Maybe try some industrial strength Velcro sold at the home supply stores. Usually that stuff holds pretty good. Should be able to hold your dividers in place.
