    need advice on this eyra!!!

first time buying a bass boat. i have done enough research to know that i want either a bass cat a champ or a triton all within my price range. so my question is... is this a decent price? and can you tell me if this is a version 1 or version 2? it is a very clean boat but dont have alot of details on the motor. Thanks!!

The original Eyra, one of the best 18 footers made, deep V hull, takes rough water extremely well. Those Suzuki motors were well built, used to see a lot of them in the Northeast area back then.

Somebody took very good care of that rig and did some upgrades! Doesn't seem like a bad deal to me if the motor and test drive checks out.

I'd get that in a heartbeat if I were in the market. I miss my 94 Eyra

FYI - bought my boat (Phoenix) from Warners and cannot say enough 'good' about that organization! Ghram is an ace in service.

    I have a 94 Eyra.
Paid about the same 2 years ago.
Yes it's a great hull. Wide and fast.
No storage on back deck. But tons up front.
    Especially with flipping deck.
    Very well built, solid fiberglass.
Rides better than my last 19'6" boat.

    Thanks guys

Boat looks really nice. Got to love the older Cats that have been taken care of.

Good price. Is there anyone that can work on a Suzuki in your area? If so buy it imo.

That boat looks bad to the bone. I would still look it over real good and give it a test drive. I would have picked that up when I was 21 and looking, but there weren't any in WA.

Definitely a great first boat. Sounds like a good dealer as well that will take care of you.

I had that identical motor in a later model year on a deck boat. It is hands down the best combustion engine I've ever owned on any type of vehicle. I put literally 500 plus hours on one over 15 years and never had a wrench on it except to do routine impeller changes and fluid changes. Changed the plugs in it once just because I felt guilty that I hadn't done any maintainence to it in 5 years. Started every spring on the first crank. I'd own this boat with that motor in a heartbeat.

Another thing about that motor - the 150 is identical to the 225 with the exception of programming. If it ever goes out save the cowling and bolt a used 225 on there with the 150 cowling. You'd be hurting some feelings at your next tournament :).

If that boat was closer to Texas I'd buy it for my son. I don't want him running around in my new Eyra , he's already asking. Great first boat.

I can echo the sentiment on the Suzuki outboard. I had the same 150 on a 97 PII and it was built like a Timex. "Take a lickin' and keep on tickin." There is no telling how many hours I put that motor with nothing more than basic maintenance. My only suggestion would be to can the Suzuki prop and put a Merc Tempest prop on it and let it rip. Good luck with the new purchase.

Buddy had a similar 150 Suzuki on a mid 90's RANGER 361 passed most everything on the river except a gas pump.
