I'm gonna swap these out. How hard is it to do yourself? I'm not all that great on working on boats but I can do OK... I think they are right between the two livewells in my 2001 ZX225. I have a pump-out system and want to upgrade to the biggest I can. Any recommendations/suggestions?
Really tired of the pumpout just kindof "spilling" off the back of the boat....
I agree on the 'weak flow'. I want mine to be like a 5 yr old ..... 20' ain't nothing, not like an 80yr old and hoping not on your shoes again
Get the biggest that will fit.
Also, if you're looking for 'distance more so than volume', you can reduce down the hole diameter of the opening while keeping the current flow rate and that will produce a stronger stream (longer distance).Try a small washer down inside the through hull fitting .... silicone in.
Might could also experiment with a stopper (can get them at Lowes, etc). Drill it out in the center to your desired diameter (dang, i just gave myself and idea to try).

Pumps are pretty easy to get too. On my 05 you need to removed the oil tank and the cross plate that my charger is mounted too.
My pumps were the Rule brand with interchangeable motor cartridges. I dont think they have any stronger pumps in that style so you may have to upgrade to a whole new housing. Easy fix that should mount straight back to the existing live well holes.
