Hey guys I know of a brand new 21' Skeeter i-Class 21i with a VMax 250 HPDI. It is not a series 2 motor. What are the positives and negatives of this boat? I am tossing it around in my head and have not made my mind up one way or the other. I have heard some prefer the ZX over the I class. Thanks for the input in advance

Is the motor new? Haven't seen anything but Series 2's on 2008 or newer.
The motor is new. This was a early 2008 boat. I actually seen it person in Feb at a boat show and loved it I have not stopped talking about it since and the wife it telling me to look at it again. I do not know why it has not sold though and that make me nervous. They are 16k off of MSRP. I would be going from 2003 Triton TR20 with a 200 merc to this if I was to pulled the trigger and bought it.
If you really like it and the money is right....then pull the trigger....I have one and love it....the only thing that I would recomend would be buying the 5 year warranty on the motor...I would not have it any other way....get that and enjoy it....I went from a 19' ZX with a 175 to the i-class...there is no comparison....good luck.....

There is no comparison going from a Triton to a Skeeter as I also did,,,go for it. Being an 08 you should get a great deal.
Msrp on a 21i is about $65,000.The sheet comes in every new boat kinda like a window sticker on a new car.

I was looking at new Skeeters in late 2007, probably at the same place Rodney is looking. They ordered a bunch of 2008 boats with the old HPDI since they got a discount (not sure if it benefited them or the customer more) on the last HPDIs.
Those i-class boats must be great, everyone says they are better than a ZX, I just dont see how you can get much better.

May not be that much differnt than the ZX 250....I know in rough water that I do not get the pounding that my former boats gave me....but it was a 19'....the only reason I bought a i-class over a ZX 250 was I need alot of room behind the wheel and the ZX does not have what the i-class has...they are both Skeeters so enough said....

There was a discount on the older engine's and a few dealers ordered them thinking they could turn them quick, some did some didnt.I only sold 1 that way so it wasnt a huge deal.
There were quite a few boats sold that way. We sold a BUNCH of them with series 1 engines on them. Feel free to give me a call and I'll be glad to answer any questions you have on it.
